Why We Don't Backup And Make Excuse Instead?

People assume that the task of backup files is expensive and cumbersome. Some of them believed their digital devices are secured and never be lost or stolen. They asserted that mishaps would not be happened on themselves.

Murphy's law stated that "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". This explains why we need a robust backup plan.

Accidents like file overwrite and virus infection exists which damaged our precious digital assets every second in the world.

How can we prepared for that worst case scenario?

In previous week, Backup awareness week 2014 and World backup day 2014 are held. It's time to review how modern technology helps us to backup our documents and photos in a easy and cost-effective way.

Easy Backup

Nowadays, it is cheap to get a large storage USB thumb drive or portable hard-disk. For a few bucks, you have the second copy of your digital assets. With USB3, you can even transfer files within few seconds. Considering your work is done over past few months, it is worth to protect your hard work so that you wouldn't do it all over again. Moreover, your memories that stored in photos can hardly be recovered without external backup.

Besides physical storage, online free storage is an option for those who need a quick and reliable solution. For example, Dropbox saves a backup for you automatically. You only need to put files inside the Dropbox folder and guess what? Volià, done!

If you don't backup as often as you can, you will regret it later on.
